59,191 patients visited North Kordofan health insurance funds
The number of people attending the first level of health insurance in North Kordofan State in the first half of the current year 2024 has reached 59,191.
The performance report of the North Kordofan State branch of the National Health Insurance Fund states that the number of people visiting the pharmacy department reached 51,877 patients, while the number of people visiting national card holders from other states reached 2,341 patients.
The report reveals that the branch paid an amount of 498,449,520.50 pounds to restore the insurance service in state hospitals and revealed the payment of the instalments of the arrears of the hospitals of Al-Obeid, Al-Borai, Al-Mazroub, Umm Dam Haj Ahmed, Police, Social Security, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Al-Kuwait, Al-Amal and specialists of the arrears.
He said that the total amount of income received amounts to 2,667,727,632.55 pounds, in addition to receiving 25% of the insured's contribution.
The performance report of the health insurance in North Kordofan revealed the installation of solar energy units in the direct centers of Qalaa and Woodalias neighborhoods in El Obeid, in addition to the laboratory supply store, at a cost of 94,000.00 pounds.
The report warns of a number of challenges facing the branch's work, including the security situation and the presence of rebel militias in some areas, theft and looting of property in service delivery and subscription collection centres.
The Director of the Fund's branch in North Kordofan State, Dr. Khattab Al-Samani, praised the Fund's presidency's continued support to the branch under the leadership of Director General Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim.
Dr. Al-Samani revealed that there was an agreement between the branch and the state finance ministry to sign a joint memorandum and proceed with the payment of contributions.
