Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council meets with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan

Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Aqar Air, met today in his office in Port Sudan with the Ambassador of the Republic of Russia to Sudan.

The Vice President of the Council stressed that Sudan's relations with Russia are strategic, due to Sudan's belief that Russia follows a respectable foreign policy based on non-interference in the internal affairs of the countries, which is the secret of stable relations between the two countries.
The meeting discussed Sudan's relations with the West and the role of some of these countries in fueling the conflict and prolonging the war in Sudan.
His Excellency explained that the Quartet mechanism was an example, as it was used as a tool to destroy political stability in Sudan.
The meeting also discussed the strategy of the Sudanese government in its relations with Western countries to build relations based on the interests of Sudan and its people.
