Major General Omar Al-Sir, second commander of the Third Division, renewed the pioneering role of the People's Armed Forces in the defeat of the colonialists through their participation, among other Sudanese forces, in the war in the region of Horn of Africa, which ended with the defeat of the Italians and was one of the conditions for gaining independence.

He said that during the Second World War, the leaders played a partner role with the indigenous administration to achieve freedom and raise the Sudanese flag, and that the Sudanese struggle movements since the revolution of Ali Abdul Latif of 1924 continued until it culminated with independence in December. 19, 1955, within Parliament.

The Executive Director, Mr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, highlighted that the first inhabitants were from the city of Shendi and that the 56th state is the base of patriotism and the realization of freedom. He underlined the importance of the message of local and foreign media, which remains present in all issues in the locality of Shendi.
