The Nile Security Committee… Looking with the eyes of the mind – Masarat – ✍️ Mahfouz Abdeen

Friday, which is a public holiday, is considered by many civil servants, regardless of their level of responsibility, as a (family) day, meaning that this day is reserved for children and the home, and is there is no room for general reflection. question, even if they are relatives or knowledgeable people, and those who prefer the interview at the home of the head of his office, counting on the convenience enjoyed by the Sudanese people.
Yesterday, Friday December 27, the Nahr security committee visited the media space twice, the first time when the security committee denied the rumor circulating in the media according to which there had been a change in curfew hours coinciding with the start of certification exams and closure of bridges.
The second time the Nile State Security Committee showed up on Friday evening, when the media space published its decision to relieve Major General Mr. Tariq Youssef, leader of the Popular Resistance, in Shendi, and his deputy, Secretary Muhammad Al-Imam, from their positions in the Popular Resistance, without giving reasons, even though the media reported dismissals attributed to the leader of the Popular Resistance, Major General Tariq Youssef. Some took this out of context.
The Nile State Security Committee was present on Friday and was more aware and attentive to anything that could cause a security lapse, such as this rumor or the speech attributed to the leader of the Shendi People's Resistance, and the immediate follow-up of these two points with the required speed closed the door to rumors and blocked many pretexts that could have been possible. Some may use it as a way to distract public opinion, but security treatments, like the Egyptians. let's say, it will “bleed”, that is to say, kill it in its infancy.
The Nile River Security Committee is that the most important thing that distinguishes it from its counterparts in the rest of the states is that it is almost the only committee in which four of its members have the rank of major general according to specialty and according to the authorities in which they work. This distinction has caused the committee to always consider matters to a greater extent for all questions and things that are. There is room for discussion within the committee, and therefore its results are solid and successful.
The Nile Security Committee faces different security challenges than others in the past and at present. In the past, the state was the link between the capital, Khartoum, and the port, Port Sudan, and it constitutes a link to a country. In a number of states and countries, smuggling operations are present in all types of trafficking, whether it is drugs, strategic goods or anything else. Because of these ports, this places an additional burden on the security committee. prospecting operations, due to which the state hosts thousands of traditional mining prospectors from all states of Sudan. This is a major challenge that has various security implications, but the authorities have done it. I am ready to face the challenge of any negative effects resulting from this large number of miners and prospectors spread over large areas extending to the Egyptian borders.
Then came the challenge of arrivals because of the enormous mass of humans that were arriving in the state and all its localities, so there were treatments that absorbed all the negative effects that could have resulted from this enormous overcrowding.
The foreign presence in the state received special attention from the committee to sort out its situation.
Therefore, the Nile State Security Committee is rightly considering these challenges, and the result is this expanded security zone and territory, the size of which has not diminished in peacetime and wartime. This is the distinction that sets the Nile Committee apart from its counterparts in the rest of the states, and the reason is to look with the eye of reason.
