Ms. Tayba Khareef, Director of the Shendi Locality Development Department, announced that a significant percentage of next year's budget will be allocated to education and secondary infrastructure.
Ms. Taiba Khareef reviewed the budget proposal for the year (2025), noting the sources of funding represented by personal income, the Local Development Fund and popular effort.
*Tayba* showed self-certified income for the past year (2024) (700,000,000) and the proposed year (2025) (2,000,000,000) with a growth rate of (186%), which were distributed between the exchange elements in specific proportions, with emphasis on the preparation of the working environment, and with regard to the Fund of local development, Taiba said the ratification for the year (2024) was (1,800,000,000). While the proposal for next year (2025) (1,600,000,000) with a lower growth rate (11%) was distributed among the different sectors, with emphasis on the sectors of education, health, production, resources, culture and infrastructure.
Ms. Tayba Khareef, Director of Shandi Development Department, explained that the total number of primary education projects was (163) projects, represented by classrooms, offices, bathrooms, school units and school rehabilitation projects. number achieved (198) of projects, represented by classrooms, offices and toilets, and health projects achieved (19) A health center in the administrative units, while production and resource projects included the rehabilitation of the Shindi slaughterhouse as a second stage. , in addition to the rehabilitation of the veterinary hospital. And for the completion of the land port, Taiba* said cultural projects include the cultural complex, a second phase, the creation of a media center and a transformative training hall. Regarding the infrastructural axis, *Tayba* revealed that it included water and electricity projects, rehabilitation of bridges and establishment and rehabilitation of offices. Regarding the popular effort, the locality development director said that the approval for the year (2024) was (500,000,000), while the approval for the year (2025) was of (700,000,000) with a growth rate of (40%).
Ms. Tayba Khareef, Shendi Locality Development Director, discussed next year's budget and projects, stressing that education is a priority next year to build a number of colleges, rehabilitate old schools and make the study environment in these schools acceptable.
She indicated that the implementation rate of the projects listed according to the table varied, since some were implemented at a rate of (100%), some were implemented at a rate of (80%), and others were implemented at a rate of (50%).
He indicates that there are projects carried out thanks to financing from the Local Development Fund, others with self-financing from the locality, and a third thanks to popular effort or the social responsibility of a certain number of businesses and economic institutions.
