The holding of the 2025 Premier League in the Northern State, under the slogan (Yes to sport, no to drugs), comes in the exceptional circumstances that the country is witnessing. Let's assure the world that this damn war that has been imposed on us is taking place. does not hinder the Sudanese people in development, sports, culture and other activities. This participation came to signify stability and security objectives. This participation, which was sponsored by the Northern State government, included the participation of Sudanese teams in Africa. and international championships and awareness of drugs and their dangers.
The Northern State Drug Control Subcommittee and its Chairman, Ms. Manal Makkawi Ibrahim, the State Director of Social Welfare, considered this a great opportunity and a good opportunity to raise awareness among young people of both sexes about the problem. dangers and dangers of drugs and how to combat them.
Although she has spoken on many platforms and in large forums in clubs and others in every locality of the state, she has confirmed, through the awareness she has made and continues to make, that drugs are a group of substances that cause addiction, poison the nervous system and destroy. and hurt the mind because they contain chemicals. She listed the types of drugs due to their danger and avoiding their use and dangers. Some of them are of natural origin, like (khat, opium, morphine, hashish, cocaine) and others. , or of industrial origin, such as hyorin and others, and all are substances. It is dangerous and leads to serious psychological, mental and physical illnesses and causes psychological complications, e.g. personality change, decline in cognitive functioning, mental symptoms such as feeling apathetic, loss of correct judgment about things, damage to the immune system. system like psychological illnesses, viral diseases like viral hepatitis, hormonal disorders like infertility and the impact on the fertilization process. This is why the Subcommittee on Drug Control decided to take this opportunity to raise awareness among young men and women of the danger of this scourge, because of which countries have lost the young men and women they need to build and rebuild the nation.
