Special interview: With Dr. Khaled Ali Al-Karrar, director of the training department of the Sudanese Red Crescent in the locality of Al-Mattama. The role of the Sudanese Red Crescent in finding solutions to humanitarian crises
⭕The Sudanese Red Crescent Society is considered one of the most important humanitarian organizations that plays a vital role in crises and disasters. With the outbreak of wars and conflicts, the association was able to provide support and urgent aid to those affected, making it a symbol of hope and assistance for the affected communities. The importance of the association is evident in its ability to attract and train volunteers, which improves their ability to help all those in need.
⭕ In this context, Dr. Khaled Ali Al-Karrar, Director of the Training Department, enters to talk about the unique experience of the association in the locality of Al-Mattama.
Training is a crucial factor in qualifying volunteers and ensuring their effectiveness in providing assistance. The Sudanese Red Crescent Society has successfully trained around 900 young people to form the core of voluntary work, which helps improve the effectiveness of humanitarian work. Through targeted training programs, volunteers become familiar with the challenges and types of support the community needs. In addition, the training values the individuality of volunteers and gives them confidence in their ability to give. Trained volunteer work constitutes a fundamental pillar of the Association in its humanitarian mission.
⭕ Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Karrar's experience demonstrates the lessons learned from working with volunteers in difficult circumstances. In his speech, he referred to the firmness and determination shown by volunteers when providing help and assistance. Despite sometimes lacking resources, his team was able to provide shelter and psychological treatment to those affected. The Association has always felt the importance of supporting these young people and offering them practical training in multiple areas. These experiences reflect the association's commitment to supporting the community and building strong bonds between its members.
⭕ The association stands out for its various activities focused on accommodation and psychological treatment in the locality of Al-Mattama. The association faced many challenges as shelters were established to provide clinical services and protection to people affected by conflict. Additionally, psychotherapy sessions were offered to support people psychologically affected by the war. These activities help relieve the pain and tragedy people experience and help them return to normal lives. The association continues to work to improve these services and expand their scope to include as many people in need as possible. By providing food supplies and joining us with credibility that ensures transparency of transactions, it paid off thanks to the supporters of an organization that joined to work with us represented by the King Salman Center, the Addah Organization, the Norwegian Organization and many voluntary organizations and groups, and this part has been able to cover a large part of the required needs and we are still looking for more, especially after the arrival of the expats from the island.
⭕ The young people trained have had a significant impact on humanitarian activities in the community. They are able to understand the needs of the community and allocate support effectively. Their contributions were not limited to providing aid, but also extended to raising awareness and participating in the alleviation of human suffering.
⭕ Youth-led initiatives play a central role in rebuilding society and promoting stability. The association's investment in training makes it possible to obtain tangible results in all areas, whether social, psychological or humanitarian.
⭕ He continued his speech and highlighted that the Sudanese Red Crescent Society is working on planning future large-scale programs aimed at supporting society and promoting human values. The Company's attention is directed towards the development of additional training programs to further support vulnerable segments of society and support productive projects for young people, making them effective elements of humanitarian work. These programs should include new areas such as sustainable development and social protection. The implementation of these programs will significantly contribute to improving relief and self-financing services. The association therefore remains committed to improving life in the locality of Al-Matma and providing assistance to all levels of society.
