Sudanese Consulate in China celebrates independence, armed forces' victories

On a Sudanese national night filled with dignity and victory, the Consulate General of the Republic of Sudan in Guangzhou, China, in cooperation with the community, celebrated the sixty-ninth anniversary of the glorious independence.

The celebration was attended by the representative of the governor of Guangdong province, the deputy director of the provincial Ministry of Foreign Affairs office and a large number of consuls accredited to the southern region of China, in addition of broad participation. members of the Sudanese community, their families, students, chambers of commerce, companies and businessmen…

Acting Consul General Dr. Othman Hassan Arabi delivered a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of independence and the battle for dignity, and he saluted the martyrs and the wounded, praised the relations of Sudan with China, which has lasted for more than 65 years, and expressed thanks and appreciation to the Guangdong government for the kind treatment and cooperation it offers to the Sudanese community…

It is worth noting that the Sudanese community, in cooperation with the Consulate General, organized a football sports tournament.

These events sparked wide response and interaction from Sudanese as they celebrated the country's victories over ethnic rebel militias in the various theaters of operations, particularly the recent military successes in the town of Madani.
