_ Well, the North Kordofan State Security Committee, in coordination with the Chief Justice, has taken over the work of the El Obeid courts so that the rule of law prevails among the population.
I firmly believe that when we talk about resuming the work of the courts according to their levels, this necessarily means that the security zone in the city of El Obeid has expanded, and in return the rebellion has diminished until to its most distant home, which means that we are realistically dealing with the hypothesis of the effects of the post-war period (April 15, 2023, security chaos (security fluidity)) which requires legal dissuasion to through a fair trial and complete.
_ I believe that this situation (allowed) the competent agencies (General Intelligence Service – Police – Military Intelligence) to fulfill their role with regard to the arrest of the perpetrators who participated in military operations in the ranks of the militias against the the Sudanese army, in addition to arresting most of the male and female collaborators of the militia (as informants and correctors of most of the attacks carried out by bombarding the town of Al-Obeid with launchers/rockets (Katusiya).
_There is no doubt that the resumption of the work of the Al-Obeid Criminal Judicial Complex is considered one of the aspects of societal security, since most of those accused of criminal charges may have articles that convict them to death or imprisonment. for deadlines which are not short, and this situation of course requires ensuring adequate security for the litigants, first of all, and for my prosecution and defense team, as well as for the court.
_Here we praise the role and courage of all the judges of the Al-Obeid Criminal Courts Complex, for accepting the challenge and working to govern among the people in order to establish the principle of justice and freedom of litigation , and people before the law together. , in difficult and extremely complex circumstances, and yet they continued to work with all the professionalism and dedication necessary to establish justice and the rule of law.
_ According to my follow-ups, several convictions were handed down against a certain number of men and women collaborating with the Rapid Support Forces militias, some of whom were sentenced to death, others to prison terms for crimes varying periods and other trials in which acquittals were rendered. pronounced immediately due to lack of evidence and evidence, and the crime was proven against the accused of both sexes. Therefore, the court immediately released them.
_ In this context, the Al-Obeid Criminal Court pronounced a death sentence on (December 23, 2024) before Mawlana Al-Sir Muhammad Ahmad against the accused (MKA) for violation of a number of articles of the Penal Code.
According to the evidence and evidence on which the court based the criminal case, the plaintiff proved to the court that the accused (MKA) participated in the military attack on the town of El Obeid with the rebels and he was arrested on the battlefield. , and it was seen that he was part of the crew of a combat vehicle belonging to a rebel militia, and he tried to escape and was arrested before he could escape. brought before the court and, after a number of hearings, the matter began to be heard by the complainant. The investigator and all witnesses proved in court that the accused (MKA) violated the text of article (51) by provoking war against the state, and also in violation of the text of article (50 ) by overthrowing the State. constitutional order, as well as the violation of article (65) on membership in terrorist criminal organizations, in addition to the violation of article (186) by committing crimes against humanity.
The decision stated:
1/ The accused was executed by hanging for violation of articles of the Sudanese Penal Code.
2/ Documents are submitted to the Supreme Court to confirm the decision after the appeal deadline has expired.
_ It is a model trial, and we will devote sufficient media space to publish in white all the trials which took place after the war. Instead, we will follow all the hearings of the defendants who are still on trial, and we will wait. for those in the investigation files until they reach the courts.
I believe that there is a very big effort on the part of specialized agencies to arrest the male and female collaborators of the militias, and this confirms that the country is heavily guarded (and everyone is completely scrutinized).
Due to the importance of this case, we will closely follow the progress of the trials, and will inform the public of their progress and their dates until the verdict is delivered.
