The International Sight Foundation: announces resumption of vision screening operations for students in the Red Sea State as part of school health programs

The International Vision Foundation – Makkah Hospitals – revealed the resumption of eye examinations for students in the Red Sea State, as part of the school health programme, noting that it aims to providing medical eye exams to over 100,000 students and treating vision problems. cases discovered free of charge, while work continues on the Makkah Medical Hospital building and the eye surgery in Port Sudan, which is expected to open in two months. The hospital is considered one of the largest hospitals in the country and the Arab region. it consists of three ground floors with a total area of ​​2760 square meters. The area of ​​one floor is 740 square meters, while the total area of ​​the current hospital is 460 square meters. The hospital will have eyeglass showrooms, patient examination clinics, operating rooms and laboratories, in addition to being the headquarters. for the regional administration of the International Sight Foundation.

Al-Aas Ahmed Kamel, regional director of the International Sight Foundation, said during his reception by the Director General of the Ministry of Investment, Tourism and Environment, Minister in charge of the State of Red Sea, Samia Oshik, at Mecca Eye Hospital. building in Port Sudan, that the Foundation carried out vision screening operations among school students in order to detect eye diseases among students and girls and treat them early, stressing that the program examined more than two million students during the last period, and he added that the institution, despite war conditions, re-established eye services in the states and conducted free camps and cataract operations. (Cataract), with the support of many Arab institutions, especially the Gulf countries, he went on to say that the institution, since its establishment, has worked to localize the country's eye services in African and Arab countries neighbors.

For her part, Director General of the Ministry of Investment, Tourism and Environment and Minister in charge of the Red Sea State, Samia Oshik, praised the great efforts made by the International Sight Foundation to locate home treatment and provide eye services. stressing that the new hospital is like an addition to the Red Sea State and the Eastern States, she added that the hospital is a quality transfer in the provision of specialized medical services in ophthalmology and surgery, and that he who steals needs it. health projects that are in the interest of the citizen and his treatment.
