1- In 1905, during the era of British colonialism, the Customs Administration was established to operate in limited customs stations.
2- Mr. Muhammad Kamal Farid is considered the first Sudanese to hold the position of Director of Customs after Sudan's independence in 1956.
3- Sudan Customs remained an affiliated agency of the Ministry of Finance, and in 1986 Customs became a regular force. This period was marked by an amendment according to which the 1986 law was enacted.
4- Sudanese Customs remained a civilian institution until 1991, when a presidential decision was taken to appoint the Customs Force, a regular force affiliated with the police. Following this decision, Sudanese Customs became a strong and influential force. military force that played a great role for the state and society.
