Clarification to the press from the office of the vice-president of the Sovereignty Council

In continuation of the open approach of disinformation adopted by certain hostile political and security parties, since the outbreak of the April 15 war, and in a miserable attempt to sow confusion in public opinion and to conceal its shameful allied positions to the Rapid Support Militia, the so- called the coordination of Sudanese professionals and unions, affiliated to the “Taqaddam” coalition, which is currently holding its meetings in Nairobi with the aim of forming a parallel government in the areas controlled by the militia, making misleading statements about the meeting of the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council with Minister of Labor on January 20, 2025.

The meeting partly addressed the issue of the participation of some employees and workers in activities related to the rebellion, with the representative ordering that the civil service law be strictly enforced and without discrimination or political bias. But this coordination refused to continue its lies and therefore deliberately and maliciously reformulated these statements, claiming that they were directives aimed at suspending workers' salaries without investigation or judicial decision. This is a blatant lie that has no basis in truth, and none of these allegations were mentioned at the meeting or in official statements.

The coordination was not content with this, but rather went beyond the limits of fraud by accusing the directive of threatening workers' rights based on political or personal positions on the war, or intellectual tendencies, viewing this as a an attack on justice and a violation of human rights. Sudan's international obligations. All these allegations are based on a lie that the coordination created and then disseminated.

We say to this coordination and others like it: the war that you treat as if it were an intellectual question or a passing political question is not. It is a war that has caused the destruction of the nation, the displacement of its people, the pillage of its property, the rape of its women and the loss of innocent lives. The bias in favor of the rebellion is not just a “personal opinion”, rather it is direct support for the crimes of murder, pillage, rape and extermination committed by the militias against the people of this people. Anyone who shows bias has no right to expect a salary from the state that strives to protect its citizens and ensure their security, not to fund those who contribute to their killings and displacement.

Officials of all government ministries and agencies who have steadfastly served their people and performed their duties and tasks in all regions of Sudan are true heroes, not traitors or mercenaries in the ranks of the militia.

As for your attempts to falsify facts and create lies to justify your positions of support for the rebellion, they will fool no one. The Sudanese people know very well who stands by them and who betrays them. Those who have been displaced from their homes, whose possessions have been stolen, whose loved ones have been killed and whose wives have been raped, know exactly who is defending them and who is stabbing them in the back.

Here is the official press release issued by the vice-president of the Sovereignty Council at the end of the meeting:

“This morning, as a continuation of my supervision mission of the Ministry of Labor and Administrative Reform, I met with Mr. Ahmed Ali Abdel Rahman, Minister responsible for the management of the affairs of the Ministry, where he presented a report in which he addressed the performance over the past period and the recommendations of the workshop and administrative reform that had been made in a previous meeting with the minister. I raised the same question with my colleagues in the Sovereignty Council to develop the results of the workshop into an agenda for the Civil Service Conference, which will be attended by 400 people from different sectors within and outside outside Sudan, as well as experts in strategic planning, disasters and crises. management.

Our meeting also addressed the issue of civil servants and their participation in activities and events related to the rebellion and the mechanisms to apply the civil service law to those involved, without discrimination or prejudice on the basis of political affiliation or intellectual orientation. which does not conflict with or threaten national security. I will also present the subject to my colleagues on the Sovereignty Council during the meeting scheduled for tomorrow.”

May God protect Sudan and the Sudanese people.
