In depth .. a complete study on investment in forest resources in the state of Gedaref ✍️ prepared by Hisham Mahmoud Suleiman

introduction:-
The state of Gedaref has one of the richest natural resources in Sudan, where the natural and industrial forests that make up a uniform economic basis propagate optimally. This study aims to review the investment opportunities that can be carried out in the development of these forest resources while providing solutions to current challenges and developing a sustainable action plan
The current reality of forests in the state of Gedaref: –
——_
1 and 1 survey and distribution
Forests cover areas estimated at 4 to 5 million acres divided between natural forest forests and cultivated forests
The main forests include: –
Alkalbat forest
Douka forest
Quraysh forest
FAO forest
2 vegetarian
Forests contain plant species of great economic value, such as: –
Al Hashab and Talat to produce Arabic gum
Al -muhaoukni luxury furniture wood
SIDR and NIM for medical and environmental uses
3 and 3 current production
Gedaref contributes to a large part of the production of gum arabic by Sudan in addition to the production of wood and coal
Most products are grossly exported without any manufacturing value or added value
Investment opportunities in forest wealth: –
——_
1 and 1 Arabic gum
Arabic gum is the most important exports of Sudanese forests and represents a major center for its production
Development perspectives: –
Increase the areas planted with hoops and Talla
Building local factories for the manufacture of glue and converting them into end products
2 Wood production
Forests are characterized by the presence of high-quality trees such as Al-Muhaouqni et al-Talat which can be used in:-
Furniture industry
Export to global markets
3 and 3 charcoal vegetables
Coal can be produced in the marketing of sustainable and respectful coal of European and Asian countries that need clean energy products
4 environmental tourism
Forests have attractive environmental diversity that can be exploited in
Create reserves and natural reserves
Attract local and international tourism
5 manufacturing industries
The development of small and medium industries depends on forest resources such as: –
Extraction of early oil from trees such as Al -talh and Nim
Manufacturing of medicinal and therapeutic products of forest plants such as SIDR and DOM
The work of the apiaries to produce honey
The challenges faced by the exploitation of forests: –
——-
1 and 1 human violations
The agricultural and pastoral ramp is a direct threat to forest areas
Unjust trees without planning or sustainability contribute to the deterioration of resources
2 lack of infrastructure
The lack of roads and support facilities makes forests difficult and hinders production and export operations
3 and 3 low administrative plans
The absence of re-affooreation and sustainability strategies increases forest exhaustion
Lack of control over illegal activities in forest areas
4 marketing and promotion
Current marketing depends on the export of products in a raw manner without working to improve value added twice to access to global markets due to the absence of effective marketing plans
The investment plan proposed: –
——-
1. A complete survey on forest resources
Exact statistics for the inventory of forests and the number of trees
Create an electronic database that supports forest resources management
2 Infrastructure improvement
Create road networks that facilitate access to forests and production areas
Build local centers to treat and store forestry products
3 and 3 Support local industries
Establish Arabic glue manufacturing factories and convert them into end products such as food and food additives
Organize local workshops for the high quality wooden furniture industry
Hue production in high quality
4 Improve environmental tourism
Develop nature reserves to become a tourist destination
Investing forest areas in the organization of recreational and educational tourism trips
5. Attract foreign investments
Promote investments in areas such as the production of Arabic gum and tourism wood
Provide incentives to international and local investors
6. Application of sustainable forests
The release of reaffotation programs to compensate for the deterioration of the environment
Imposing strict laws against unjust parts and illegal grazing
Expected results: –
——
Increase the contribution of forests to the local and national economy
Provide new employment opportunities in industrial and tourist sectors
Improvement of the environmental situation thanks to reaffotation programs
Improve the status of the state as a forest investment center in Sudan and the world
conclusion:-
—
Forestive wealth in the state of Gedaref represents an invaluable economic resource if it is used scientifically and sustainable. economic advantage but also includes environmental conservation and ensuring the sustainability of resources for future generations
