Rafaa edition: reveals a forgotten child?! – The face of the truth – ✍️ Ibrahim Shaqlawi

When the poet Omar Al -Tayeb borrowed this analogy and this aesthetic image, describing the anticipation of the transition as if the voice of a child in the “crowd” was forgotten, perhaps the body of this sense that we are talking about In this article, while the release of the historic company and its association with the learning of women and its conscience made this symbolism embodied in this child, Sudanese militants on social media shared an influential video clip of A girl from the newly released city of Riffa, calling on Sudanese Sudan armed with tears, saying: “What they work is free … Sit with us, what you are working on.” This sentence, despite its simplicity, sums up the tragedy of an entire generation which experienced the experience of war with all its fear, its terror and its insecurity. His words were not only a request for transitional childhood, but rather a humanitarian testimony on a harsh reality, which reminds the world the size of the violations to which children are exposed by the rebellious militia of rapid support and impose fundamental questions On the extent of the international community's commitment to its commitments to protect childhood in wartime.

We also know the riffa of a historic city, famous for being the cradle of the education of Sudanese women, located in the eastern locality of Al-Jazira, a symbol of civilization and education in Sudan. From there, the first school of education of girls was launched in 1903 by the educational pioneer Babiker Badri, and of themselves, the generations contributed to the formation of national conscience. However, this city, which has been a paradise for knowledge and peace for decades, has been transformed for the war in the city of Ashrah, where it has suffered from the war since last October when it has been transformed when it has been was swept by the rapid support militia, in the light of the repercussions of the defection of his local leader, “Kick” and his joining the Sudanese army. In a few days, the characteristics of the city have changed and its schools have become empty, its streets are deserted and its children know only the language of terror and fear. However, the tragedy in Riffa is not only linked to the destruction of buildings or to the loss of goods, but also extends to what is deeper than that: the erosion of a feeling of security in children, which have become more aware of the danger of war than their awareness of childhood.

Consequently, we can say that what the video documented is not only an impressive emotional moment, but rather a clear conviction of serious violations that the rapid support militia has been conducted, in particular with regard to the rights of children during this war. Undoubtedly international agreements related to child protection in wartime. As we know, the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) stipulates that children have the right to protect against violence and armed conflicts. In addition to the optional protocol of the child's rights agreement concerning the involvement of children in armed conflicts (2000): it is prohibited to recruit or use children in conflicts, and underlines the need for their Protect in conflict areas. Geneva conventions (1949) and additional protocols (1977) force the parties to armed conflicts to protect civilians, especially the most vulnerable groups such as children.

Despite these international promises, the scene in Sudan reveals a dangerous gap between legal texts and reality on the ground, because children have become the first victim and the last of attention. The feelings of the child in the video were not only an individual condition, but rather reflect the collective suffering of thousands of children who lived the experience of war with all its cruelty. Consequently, the release of Sudanese cities in militia control should not be a military victory, but rather a real turn in the path to the reconstruction of Sudanese society. If the army has regained control of the field, the greatest challenge is to restore Sudanese childhood for its natural rights to education, psychological stability and a feeling of security.

Here, the responsibility of the Sudanese state emerges, not only to ensure the liberated cities, but in the rehabilitation of children psychologically and socially through: an intensive psychological support program to help children overcome the shocks to which they were exposed . Likewise, in the rehabilitation of schools and the creation of a safe educational environment that restores children with a feeling of normal life. As certain educational establishments in the state of Khartoum do, as does the Ministry of Education in the State.

On the other hand, we must know that responsibility is not the case with Sudan alone, but rather a real test of the seriousness of the international community in the implementation of its obligations to protect childhood in conflict areas. Thanks to direct support for national institutions or humanitarian organizations working in the field which have a good balance between national experience through previous experiences during the war in the south of Sudan, international silence in the face of the suffering of Sudanese children n 'is not only a defect, but it can be indirectly collusion with the regional supporters of this war or with the rapid support militia practicing these violations.

Today, according to what we see in the face of the truth, Sudan is about to fold a sorting page of its modern history, because the characteristics of the end of the presence of the militia in the country are agitating horizon. With the progress of the armed forces and their allies of the security services and the community forces, in all the axes, the date of voluntary return for the displaced, who need all the services, led by security, folds an era of chaos and destruction that Sudanese has suffered since. With each victory, the Sudanese conviction is reinforced that their security and their stability cannot be a hostage of the militias of the coup d'etat outside the law. of its citizens in their different candles and their politics and their tribalism. In the end, the future of Sudan and his children remain dependent on his ability to restore security and achieve peace.

You are fine and well.
