The Sudanese coalition for education for all inaugurates the start of the return initiative for education by honoring the federal minister and the state of education

The Sudanese coalition for education for all inaugurated the national initiative to return to education, in partnership with UNICEF and a certain number of partners, in the presence of the Minister of Education Ahmed Khalifa, and the Director General of the Education Sector, Mr. Hachem Ali Issa, in the midst of a large crowd of civil servants, students and their families, at the Housing District School, make its doors.
The celebration of the inauguration of the Housing School addressed the Al -Awda education program for the Director General of the Sudanese Coalition for Education for all, Mr. Naji Mansour Al -Shafi’i, where he declared that education did not wait for war, disasters or the government, and the circumstances of the war will not prevent it. Point the design of a compressed approach to compensate for the loss of education years for displaced students, as it is limited to two years of study in one year. He explained that the initiative targets the three age groups which were unable to register in schools in alternative and appearance centers, revealing the training of a committee in order to organize the campaign that will launch the suburbs of housing in Port Sudan.
Al -Shafi’i underlined the imminent opening of the number of (15) centers for alternative education, praising the cooperation of the Government of the Red Sea led by Lieutenant -General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, and the initiative partners to open the doors to choose the fruits of efforts, and made the initiative possible. He stressed that the Al -Hayeshan school will receive students tomorrow, explaining that education does not wait and may be in a safe and friendly region. He also revealed a plan to open (4) schools during the strategic plan in coordination with the ministries of federal and state education, accompanied by health centers for the benefit of displaced citizens and housing. He noted the efforts of the coalition to help the government of the State in the field of education in coordination with UNICEF and UNESCO, where the initiative is funded each year, and the strategic plan (2025-2027 CE) was also authorized.
Al -Shafi’i warned that the question of education lies in the State and not the government, emphasizing the procedure of the process of allocating education to prepare an education generation.
Mr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, Minister of Education and Federal Education, launched the initiative to return to education at the national level, which is adopted by the Sudanese coalition for education for all in partnership with UNICEF and the partners, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, in the Sudan Port Housing district, the temporary administrative capital and large families. The celebration has also included in the honor of the occasion the opening of the Al -Hayeshan school in the initiative, because it opens its lessons tomorrow to receive students from the first to the sixth year.
Minister Ahmed Omar Khalifa revealed the support of the educational process in Sudan with an amount of (204) million dollars and more than (45) million euros in partners, including the European Union, UNICEF, World Bank and International Society for a period of three years. He also revealed the intention of his ministry to plan a new role towards schools, stressing the importance of cooperation with partners. He praised the efforts of the initiative managers to support the education process, which is considered an economic feasibility for each family to get out of the circle of poverty. Stressing that organizations have worked to develop a strategy that takes into account education priorities in Post-War Sudan. He stressed that there is a real desire to restore the education system, such as a request for (7) states to provide the ministry has been set information, including statistics. He warned that the country suffers from a large gap in professional professional skills and added: “War clearly indicated where the defect.” He called on parents to instill the national spirit and improve the value of work in children, as well as to their interesting interests for education.
In the same vein, the director general of the education sector, Mr. Hachem Ali Issa, said that the state of the Red Sea represents a mini-south, in particular in the light of the difficult circumstances that the country is going through. He stressed that the state has embraced the affects by the war and added in the Al -Badouet dialect: “Hash Hashwwin”, which means “you are in your homes and your country”, praising the role of the Ministry of Social Development and organizations working in the field of education for their unlimited support.
In turn, Mr. Al-Rashid Suleiman, spokesperson for the human emergency committee in the state of the Red Sea, expressed his thanks and his appreciation to the Sudanese coalition and UNICEF and UNESCO, noting that the initiative is proof of the extent of cooperation between government agencies and civil society organizations in the supposed services.
In addition, the representative of UNICEF d. May Al -Tayeb on (3) thousand schools was affected by war, transforming it into shelters, pointing to the need to provide psychological support and attention to the school environment for students.
For his part, Yasser Mohamed Al -Amin, director of the Housing and Development Fund in the Red Sea, underlined their desire to determine the places for schools and spaces offered for health centers, highlighting their interest in education in the housing area by allocating a number of schools to the population.
