The Federal Minister of Health and an official delegation receive an Indian medical aid ship in Port Sudan

The Federal Minister of Health received, d. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim and Minister of Culture and Information, a. Khaled al -Aiser and humanitarian aid commissioner, a. Salwa Adam and Director of the Navy Ports Authority Al -Jilani Muhammad Al -jilani, Commander of the Defense Air Force, Major -General Azhari Abbas and the affairs of the Indian Embassy, c. Q. Today, Tuesday, an Indian medical aid ship carrying five tonnes of cancer and heart medication in the northern port of Port Sudan. This aid is an extension of a previous subsidy arrived in 2023.
In his press statements, the Minister of Health has expressed thanks to the Indian government for his continuous support for the health sector in Sudan, highlighting the assistance advice to support 18,000 cancer patients who need treatment. He also called for continuous support to strengthen the health system and improve bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the health sector.
The Minister of Culture and Information highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Sudan and India, which has expanded since 1955, praising efforts to exchange experiences and establishing Sudanese pharmaceutical factories in India.
For its part, the loading of affairs of the Indian Embassy has confirmed the continuation of its country’s support in Sudan in the light of the exceptional circumstances that it is going through, expressing the interest of India to improve joint cooperation and to support Sudan at all levels, thanks to all the authorities relevant to have contributed to facilitate procedures and to grasp the Indian subsidy.
