Shorouk Idris grew up in the city of Umm Rawaba in the state of northern Kordofan, where his trip began to attract and creative writing, moving between the countries of Ballawi and Uganda, then the city of Omdurman, which formed his artistic and literary personality. During the stages of her studies, she was involved in drawing and writing, and held numerous exhibitions in which she presented the fees for children and cartoons, before winning the Mahmoud Kahil prize in Lebanon, to become the first Sudanese artist – and a painter of the magazine “Khartoun” – winning this high prize.

The Shorouk Idris won the Mahmoud Kahil Prize for the “Children’s Drawings” category, which is the first time that the name of Sudan has been crowned with this prize since its creation in 2015. Shorouk won the prize for his book _ Al -qashi al -Maliki “, where the jury has seen that” these work costs are young people, stimulate their imagination.

In a press release, previously at the agency France -Press, Shorouk Idris said: “Most of my works represent Sudanese culture, which is a mixture of Arab and African cultures.”

It should be noted that Shurooq was in the second batch of resident artists who joined the _ Khartoun_ magazine, where she presented many distinguished works which can be mentioned by the magazine’s links and archives. Khartoun also celebrated the sunrise, given that it represents a new radiation from Sudanese art and recorded the entrance to Sudan in the list of winners of the Mahmoud Kahil Prize.
