Bridges of Knowledge and Heritage: “Dongola Cairo” and his vision of building Sudan tomorrow – something for the fatherland – ✍️ Mr. Salah is strange

At a time when challenges are accelerated and efforts to build the future are accepted, civil society initiatives are highlighted as a basic pillar of development and cooperation. In this context, the Dongola Association for Culture and Heritage is presented at the Cairo office as a light model for tender and hard work, not only to preserve cultural heritage, but in vital investment in young human frameworks. The last success, which is to launch the intensive training course on the “modern media” of Sudanese in Cairo, is a convincing testimony to the insightful vision of the association and its firm commitment to the future of Sudan and the promotion of Egyptian-Odan relations.
The launch of this session, on May 11, 2025, at the headquarters of the former newspaper, represented more than a simple training event; It was a lively incarnation of the depth of the fraternal ties that bring Egypt and Sudan. With the participation of 24 students from various Sudanese media institutions, the course was not only limited to the transfer of knowledge, but was a platform to exchange experiences and deepen the bonds of friendship between the sons of the two countries. The presence of the cultural advisor of the Embassy of Sudan in Egypt, Dr Assembly Ahmed Hassan, and the former Sudanese Minister for Labor and the Administrative Reform, Ms. Souad Ahmed Al -tayeb, and General of Georal Amin Ismail Majzoub, as well as the leaders of the Journal de la République, underline the strategic importance that the parties concerning themselves.
What distinguishes the completion of the Dongola association in this regard is the vision at hand that caused the course of the course. While Sudan goes through a specific step which requires strengthening national executives in various fields, the association has produced the pivotal role played by modern media in the formation of public opinion and the construction of national narration. Dr. Set Al -Banat Al -Banat, President of the Dongola Association, Cairo Branch, also confirmed: “Modern media with its renewed techniques and various platforms represent a great challenge, which obliges us to in -depth understanding of its tools and its renewable skills to deal with it, in addition to moral responsibility in its use.” This perception does not only reflect the pace of monitoring of the association with global developments, but also confirms its belief in the need to empower young people with knowledge and tools necessary to understand the changing media scene, in a way that serves the homeland of Sudan in the battle of dignity and after.
The choice of “modern media” as an extent of this session is not random, but rather an intelligent response to an urgent need in the current Sudanese scene. In the era of fluid information, the armaments of young people with advanced media skills, digital journalism and content management and social media platforms, is an essential question to build a conscious and responsible national discourse, capable of facing challenges and transferring the true image of the country. The cultural advisor, Dr Assent Ahmed Hassan, stressed the importance of training for young people and students in the next stage, “in order to build a new healthy Sudan”, which is fully in line with the association’s objectives.
In addition, this initiative demonstrates the pioneering role that the Dongola association plays in the deepening of Egyptian-Odan relations. By organizing the session in a former institution of the Egyptian media, such as the Journal de la République, and by close cooperation with the Sudanese Embassy, the association does not only provide a training service, but also improves communication and cultural and professional exchange bridges between the two brotherly countries. The former Sudanese Labor Minister Souad Al -Tayyib underlined the strength of relations between the two countries, embodying the spirit of cooperation that the association seeks to consolidate.
In conclusion, the achievements of the Dongola Association for Culture and Nubian Heritage, the Cairo branch, in particular the organization of the course of “modern media”, are more than simple cultural or training activities; It is a strategic investment in the future, a construction of capacities and an affirmation of the vital role of civil society in times of crisis and challenges. It is a testimony that the association is not satisfied to preserve the glorious past, but rather examines a more in-depth eye to build a better future, armed with knowledge and skills, to serve beloved Sudan and improve its position in the region and the world. These efforts not only deserve thanks and appreciation, but also to call for support and to follow to extend their horizons and multiply their achievements.
