The Governor of the North meets the delegation of the organization of food and agriculture (FAO)

The Governor of the North, Major-General Abdel Rahman Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, met the delegation of the organization of food and agriculture (FAO) at the headquarters of the city of Dongola
This is in the presence of the State Humanitarian Commissioner, d. Abdul Rahman Ali Khairi. During the meeting, the organization’s delegation examined its upcoming plans and interventions in the aim of improving production and achieving food security.
The Governor has confirmed his government’s support for the organization’s efforts and is committed to providing all the facilities necessary to achieve its objectives to improve agricultural production and obtain food security for citizens. He stressed the importance of the organization’s role in the support of small farmers and target groups.
The humanitarian aid commissioner explained that Al-Faw intended to implement a certain number of projects in the state, including the supply of 40 solar energy units in favor of 4000 farms, and the distribution of vegetables and corn seeds. He praised the role of the organization in the support of small farmers in the last period, stressing the importance of continuing this support to improve agricultural production and obtaining food security.
This meeting comes within the framework of the strengthening of cooperation between the government of the State and the FAO, to implement projects which serve citizens and carry out agricultural and economic development in the State.
