Al -Basr International Foundation expects a memorandum of understanding with Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development to Fight Blindness

As part of the Keenless from the Basra International Foundation to improve the partnerships that allow it to provide ophthalmology and blindness services in poor societies, the foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding with Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development in the city of Dammam, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The memo aims, according to the newspaper “Al -riyadh”, to open up the prospects for cooperation between the two parties to provide specialized medical care for the blind, by carrying out surgeries for treatmentsable cases and by providing tests and treatments that contribute to restoring vision in the continents of Asia and Africa.

In the signing of the Convention, the Al -Basra Foundation represented the chairman of the board of directors, Dr Adel Al -rashoud, while the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Foundation for human development represented the Secretary General, Dr. Issa Al -Ansari.

The agreement stipulated to cooperate to support needy patients in Asia and Africa, by implementing medical campaigns to combat blindness and diseases that cause it, and contribute to the supply of medical devices, drugs and other needs, in addition to training and qualified managers working in the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Issa Al -Ansari, secretary -general of the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, stressed that the objective of the agreement is to relieve the suffering of people with eye diseases, the implementation of health and medical campaigns in a certain number of African and Asian countries, and to provide services that contribute to humanitarian support and in particular The support of the blind, by providing their needs and supporting human development and charity work, in particular the support of the blind, by providing their qualified needs and needs.

For his part, Dr Adel Al -Rasshoud, secretary -general of the Basr International Foundation, thanked the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Foundation for its cooperation and support, stressing that the institution is considered one of the main eminent humanitarian parties in the Kingdom, expressing its pride to report this agreement which includes the fruitful initiatives of the institution.

He referred to the efforts of the International Foundation Al -Bsen in the fight against blindness and its diseases, and by providing the care and treatment necessary for the needy, including surgical operations and medical devices, in addition to rehabilitation and education and the development of human skills working in the field of ophthalmology. He also said that the Foundation is an international humanitarian organization, which operates under the aegis of the international Blindness Authority, and it is evaluated multiple partnerships, including cooperation with the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action.
