He chaired the under-secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, d. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, the periodic meeting of the Qatari coordination mechanism concerning global support projects, GF_CCM, in a decision confirming the pursuit of Sudanese efforts to improve the health sector and benefit from global support in the fight against diseases in the light of current challenges.
Reunion included partners to implement UNICEF and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in addition to the project implementation units, where participants discussed the priorities of the next step in light of the decrease in global financing, which is estimated at 9% during the two years from the total opening for Sudan,
The agent stressed that the subsidy focuses on the fight against aid, tuberculosis and malaria, in addition to supporting the strengthening of the health system, noting the importance of reorganizing priorities and determining activities outside the umbrella of global support, to seek alternative funding through other donor channels or government support. Appreciate the role of the Ministry of Finance in the allocation of amounts to combat disease and epidemics.
The agent also assessed the efforts of the technical team and the project implementation units which helped to negotiate to obtain this subsidy, stressing the importance of continuing coordination with donors to fill the gaps and ensure the sustainability of health programs.
