Customs reduction … Will the effect reach the citizen, Idris? – The winner of Al -Dai – ✍️ d. Mohamed Tabidi

In the midst of the unleashed economic crisis, the question of “reduction in customs” appears to be one of the solutions proposed to mitigate the burden of life for the Sudanese citizen, a proposal which is not without merit, but that it raises a very important question: what is the use of the decision if the citizen does not affect a reduction in prices?

We have seen in previous experiences how similar measures have been transformed into paper numbers or a means of economic empowerment of specific classes, without finding their way to the market or to empty the tables in houses. Today, we re-establish the case, motivated by hope, not with blind experimentation.

Dr. Kamel Idris, the legal and the well -known economy, places the points on letters, saying: We will reduce consumer goods by reducing customs … ..

It does not make sense to reduce customs if the price of the goods does not decrease. We must put strict censorship on the supply chain, from the port to the store, so that the impact does not fly before it reaches citizen and that customs policy is not based on courtesy, but rather a meticulous study of its effects on the market and national production, it is therefore not wise to reduce costs on luxurys while inputs of agricultural and industrial production are in charge of taxes and obstacles.

There have been previous experiences for reducing sales markets in a number of states, but they have not risen. The reason is not due to the idea of the market itself, but rather to the lack of planning, the gaps in transparency and its dependence on seasonal or political support, not on an integrated economic system.

What we need today is not a temporary “reduced sale” tent that takes their photos and forgets, but we rather need a lasting program based on the partnership between the State and the private sector, and in coordination with consumer companies and community initiatives. We need a price supervisory board, publishes its reports to the public, by holding it responsible, monitoring and measures the real impact.

To what extent the government issues the government in which it says it has been “reduced”, while the market reacts in the language language: prices are the same, and this may have increased!

The national poet believed when he said:

What is the advantage of laws if consciousness betrayed them … What is the value of the reduction if the merchant betrayed?

He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

“May God have mercy on a man who allowed if he sold, and if he bought, and if necessary” (ok),

May this hadith be the slogan of the scene, in which we refer morality to the markets, and to express transactions and justice to politicians.

In conclusion, the question of the reduction of customs should not be isolated from the most complete economic reform system, otherwise it simply becomes a temporary empowerment of a chronic disease. The real reform begins when we think that the government’s decision is not only done through ports, but rather to reach the hearts, tables and daily pensions of people.

I will write to the homeland until my last breath
