The Federal Ministry of Health inaugurates the distribution of 35 solar refrigerators to preserve insulin for children’s diabetic children … “The organization of life for children” and “Direct Great” two progress in insulin to more than 6000 diabetic children

Today, the Federal Ministry of Health inaugurated cotton stores at Port Sudan, a project to supply children with children with 35 solar refrigerators, presented through the Sudanese association for children’s diabetes and with the support of its international partners. The project aims to ensure the continuity of the treatment of children with diabetes.

The inauguration ceremony saw the under-secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, as well as the Director of the Department of Non-Transmitted Diseases, Dr Areej Mohamed Khair, and representatives of the clinics of the Ministry of Health and Diabetes. The project targets more than 6000 children in the various states of the country, as the support of the cooling and supply chain exceeded the $ 12 million barrier during the last period.

Dr. Haitham stressed that this initiative presents itself within the framework of the continuous efforts of the association to provide medical supplies of insulin and its requirements, in cooperation with the organizations “Al -hayat for the child” and “Direct Rilliv”, praising this partnership and the active role that the association plays by Professor Mohamed Ahmed Abdullah.

The project has been delivered with logistical coordination and support for non-commission management and the national fund for medical supply, as it has included the coverage of more than 13 states since the start of the war.

For its part, the DRE Salwa Abdel Baqi, endocrinologist consultant and diabetes for children, explained that the project represents the third stage of an integrated response plan which began to guarantee the availability of supplies during the first months of the war, then by providing central refrigerators, up to this vital stage which aims to ensure the safety of the insulline in the light of the fluctuation of the electric current.

Dr. Salwa praised the team and executives of the association clinic for their heroic efforts during the crisis, stressing that continuous coordination between partners was the decisive factor in the stabilization of supplies, with the exception of some of the besieged areas.
