Prime Minister: Developing communications and digital transformation is a priority to build a modern state

The Prime Minister, Dr. Kamel Idris, stressed the importance of developing the infrastructure of the communications sector in Sudan, considering that digital transformation and communications constitute the basic pillar of any modern development project and emphasizing the government’s interest in this vital file.

This came during his meeting today in his office in the city of Port Sudan, the agent of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation, Dr. Al -Sadiq Jamal Al -Din, where the meeting examined the current conditions of the ministry and the challenges that the sector is confronted, in particular with the light of what he described as the systematic destruction of the infrastructure in the hands of the terrorist to support the militia.

The under-secretary of the Ministry of Communications declared in a statement that he had received clear directives from the Prime Minister linked to the expansion of optical fiber networks (fibers) and by using them to support the educational process, as well as the thrust of the fields of artificial intelligence, the development of fifth generation networks and the upgrading of postal services.

Dr. Al -Sadiq stressed that these directives represent a strong boost to make a qualitative change in the sector, noting that the passion of the ministry to implement it in a way that establishes a new stage of digital transformation in Sudan.
