The Federal Ministry of Health inaugurates Saudi support for dialysis centers in Sudan

The Federal Ministry of Health has launched a share of medical devices and equipment to support dialysis centers in Sudan, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humaninitarian Action, and in cooperation with the World Health Organization. The inauguration ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Saudi Embassy in the city of Port Sudan, in the presence of a certain number of civil servants, including the representative of the under-secretary of the Federal Health Ministry, d. Esmat Mustafa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ambassador Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar, and director of the World Health Organization in Sudan, d. Chambon, as well as a number of health sector leaders.
Support provided 30 blood washing machines 141 dialysis sessions A set of medicines and medical consumers.
This support benefits from kidney patients in the various states of Sudan, according to the needs set by the National Center for Renal Diseases and Surgery.
Dr. Esmat Mustafa, with continuous support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that this aid contributes to improving the stability of the health system and saving lives, in particular in the light of the difficult circumstances of the country. He also appreciated the role of the King Salman Center in the provision of medical supplies and treatment caravans, noting that the supporting plan for target the most needy centers.
For his part, the Saudi ambassador said the kingdom’s passion to continue to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan, praising the cooperation of the Sudanese government in the facilitation of procedures and has committed to continuing its support in various areas of health and humanitarian aid.
In the same context, the director of the World Health Organization office in Sudan, d. Cuban Sahab, that Saudi support is worth $ 5 million, noting the importance of partnership with the Kingdom to support the Sudanese health sector.
For his part, the director of the National Center for Kidney Diseases and Purgery, d. Nizar Zulfo for his thanks to the King Salman Center, noting that this is the second stage of Saudi support, and he contributed directly to the stability of dialysis services in a number of states. He added that his field visits to kidney centers, especially in Khartoum state, have shown a remarkable improvement in the service through this support.
This inauguration comes in a series of humanitarian initiatives implemented by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, in the confirmation of the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the Sudanese people, in particular in the health sector, in the light of the challenges with which the country is confronted.
