The Governor of the North attends to conclude the activities of the training workshop in the field of cybersecurity
The Northern Governor, Lieutenant -General Abdel -Rahman Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, witnessed the conclusion of training workshop activities in the field of cybersecurity and information confidentiality, organized by the information center at the General Secretariat of the State Government. The workshop was presented by Dr. Fatima Mohamed Othman, director of cybersecurity at the National Information Center, and targeted the executive work of the State.
The importance of the workshop
The Northern Governor stressed the importance of the workshop, noting that he coincides with the development of war and its strategies, which increases the importance of strengthening cybersecurity.
The Governor also stressed the importance of cybersecurity landing concepts for intermediate and minimum executives in public institutions and facilities, and publish these concepts through radio awareness programs and television
The governor added that the application of cybersecurity is a moral responsibility and has underlined the work to activate the state training council and award a budget.
The workshop has targeted 38 managers and 32 directors of the departments of the Government Secretariat and representatives of ministries, councils, organizations and state units.
The secretary general of the government, Mahjoub Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, explained that this workshop is an important advice which has been implemented this year, highlighting the importance of training in the next executive performance.

The director of the General Administration of Training in the State, Nasser Abdel -Azim, said that the workshop was within the framework of the confrontation of changes in the field of digital transformation and the identification of the concepts of cybersecurity, governance, artificial intelligence and challenges faced by digital systems.

The workshop concluded by stressing the importance of improving cyberspace in the state and providing the necessary training for executives working in this area. This is part of the State’s efforts to improve its capacities in the field of cybersecurity and to face digital challenges
