The Secretary General of National Children’s Care meets the Qatari director of UNICEF in Sudan

The childhood file in Sudan goes beyond coordination priorities between the National Council and UNICEF.

Dr. Abdel Qader Abdullah Aboh, general secretary of the National Child Protection Council, met today, Tuesday morning, Qatari director of Unicef in Sudan, Mr. Sheldon, in his office in the Sudan port.

The visit aimed to reflect on a number of childhood files and to examine the developments that occurred during the war period. Dr. Abdel -Qader welcomed this meeting, expressing the council’s desire to continue the child protection and care support process in Sudan, to provide all the possible aid and to move the competent authorities to cooperate with the Council in order to complete its mission to the children of the country.

For his part, the Qatari director of UNICEF led all the technical levels of the organization in cooperation with the various secretariats of the Council and by examining the conditions of childhood in all states, in the light of the exceptional circumstances that Sudan crosses.

Mr. Shieldon stressed the importance of tightening coordination with the National Child Protection Council, because it is the legal and national part authorized to follow the conditions of the country’s children, highlighting the will of UNICEF to support all strategies related to protection work.

In turn, Dr. Abdel -Qader Abu, the decision of the Council, confirmed that coordination with UNICEF will continue to complete the project plan aimed at improving the childhood file in Sudan.
