Khartoum and Cairo on the threshold of a deeper partnership … An official visit led by reconstruction and integration files

Professor Kamel Idris Al -Tayeb, Prime Minister of the Transitory Prime Minister, arrived this morning in the Egyptian capital in Cairo, during his first foreign visit, during an official invitation from his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who was at the front of his future at Cairo International Airport, as part of an official ceremony.

This visit comes within the framework of the thrust of bilateral relations between the two countries to wider horizons, and to open a new page of strategic cooperation in various fields, in the light of the exact conditions that the region crosses and common challenges faced by the two countries.

Sudan and Egypt launch a new stage of strategic partnership

The Sudanese Prime Minister should hold high -level talks with His Excellency, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, and an official discussion session with his Egyptian counterpart and a certain number of ministers and civil servants will be held to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular in economic and commercial files.

Countries agree to support Egyptian investment in Sudan

Translections are focused on means of improving Egyptian investments in Sudan, while seeking to benefit from Egyptian experience in the fields of reconstruction, infrastructure and development, as part of Sudan’s efforts to rebuild after the war and create a favorable environment for strategic partnerships.

Electrical and silent fixing projects in addition to priority

The two parties agreed to accelerate the work of electrical connection projects and the connection of railways between the two countries, as a basic stage to reach economic integration and facilitate the movement of goods and services between the two peoples.

Egyptian support for health, education and training in Sudan

The visit also deals with health and educational cooperation files, as the Sudanese government has expressed its aspiration to increase the number of Egyptian medical convoys, and to improve joint training programs to qualify Sudanese executives, as well as to accept a memorandum of understanding to officially record the Egyptian drug in Sudan.

Academic cooperation and vocational training to qualify Sudanese executives

It has also been agreed to revitalize cooperation between Sudanese and Egyptian universities, and to activate joint programs in higher education and scientific research, in addition to launching vocational and technical training programs targeting young Sudanese, in cooperation with agencies specialized in Egypt.

Permanent coordination in questions of the Red Sea and the Blue Nile

In the regional file, the two parties stressed the importance of joint coordination in regional security problems, in particular in the Red Sea region, in addition to rejecting the Ethiopian unilateral approach in the management of the Blue Nile file, and highlighting the need to reach an equitable understanding thanks to cooperation mechanisms in the Nile Basin.

Khartoum and Cairo agree to activate joint committees

Sudan and Egypt have agreed to activate joint bilateral committees and determine the clear hours for their design and monitoring of their results, guaranteeing the transition from the stage of political understanding to practical implementation on the ground.

Egypt is a reliable partner for Sudan at all steps

Ambassador Imad Adawi, the Sudanese ambassador to Cairo, stressed that this visit reflects a regular trend in the Sudanese management, because Egypt is a reliable strategic partner at all stages, in particular in reconstruction files, support for stability and the service of Sudanese citizens residing in Egypt.

A strong Sudanese delegation accompanying the Prime Minister

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a strong ministerial delegation which includes foreign ministers, culture and the media, tourism, as well as a certain number of advisers, during a visit which should make a qualitative change on the way to Sudanese-Egyptian relations.
