The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Saif Al -Nasr Al -Tijani Haroun, Chairman of the Khartoum State and Ponts Committee, announced the arrival of the Egyptian technical team specializing in the maintenance of the AL -Halfaya and Shambat in the city of Port Soudan today, indicating that the delegation will go directly to Khartoum to start the necessary technical consultations.
In press statements, after receiving the delegation to the headquarters of the ministry, the Minister affirmed the depth and sustainability of relations between Sudan and Egypt, expressing the vigor of Sudan to improve cooperation in all areas in the interest of the two fraternal peoples.
He praised the Egyptian interaction with worrying questions of Sudan. He declared that Egypt is developed in the field of infrastructure and has rich experiences in the field of roads and bridges, and that Sudan seeks to benefit from this characteristic, expressing its appreciation to the Egyptian government for its fast movements to provide assistance in the maintenance of Bridges Halfaya and Shambat.
He added that the Egyptian role, a government and a people, supported the Sudanese people and supported themselves throughout the war, noting that the leaders of the two countries are eager to strengthen fraternal links and improve bilateral cooperation in questions of common concern.

He spoke of the bridges rehabilitation committee Shambat and Halfaya, as part of the environmental preparation programs for the return of citizens in the state of Khartoum, and said that one of its most important objectives is to reform the bridges that have been affected and destroyed during the war and reforming the main roads within the capital and the supply of emergency tracks for development and humans.
The engineer, Mohamed Kamal Ghoneim, Managing Director of Bridal Maintenance at the General Authority for Roads and Ponts du Cairo, head of the delegation, stressed that his team will be wishing to carry out his mission and all that is required by him, noting that the team will go directly to the site to inspect the bridges and work the crisis to complete the interview.
And the Egyptian ambassador Hani Salah expressed the pride of Egypt that the first foreign technical team to reach the capital Khartoum for the reconstruction of what was destroyed by war is an Egyptian team, indicating that this reflects the great symbolism of the depth of political and moral Egyptian and support for Sudan.
He added in press statements after receiving the team in the city of Port Sudan today, that the arrival of the delegation represents a qualitative change on the path of reconstruction in Khartoum, and a qualitative change in the war since April 15, 2023, passing to the stadium of the reconstruction of Khartoum, and also represents a qualitative change for bilateral relations.
Ambassador Hani stressed that this decision represents an excellent message of political support from Egypt to the brothers in Sudan, and that he is accompanied by direct advice from the Egyptian political leadership and on the basis of the meetings between the presidents Abdel Fattah Al -Burhan and Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, during the past period, and a quick result to visit the Dr. Kamel Idris, Prime Minister visit.
