The President of the Republic of South Sudan receives a member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi
The President of the Republic of South Sudan, Lieutenant General Salva Kiir Mayardit, met today at the Presidential Palace in Juba with a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi.
President Salva Kiir's adviser on security affairs, Tut Qalwak, said in a press statement that the meeting discussed ways to bring peace to Sudan as quickly as possible after the great destruction caused by the war.
Tut added that the meeting addressed the issue of delivery of humanitarian aid, emphasizing the keenness of the Republic of South Sudan to provide relief to all Sudanese who sought refuge in South Sudan due to the war.
