Khartoum between allegations and official relationships: the truth of what is raised in “chemical pollution”

In recent months, the media and social media has been reported, news of the pollution of the state of Khartoum with chemical weapons, in the midst of contradictory warnings between local and international parties. These allegations have raised real questions for citizens, especially those who prepare to return home after a trip to travel and asylum that lasted almost three years.
What has been published so far?
International position: The US State Department announced last May that it had indications for the use of chemical weapons in Sudan during 2024 and decided to impose sanctions. However, advertising did not include technical details published on the type of equipment or pollution sites. What comes to the conscious mind is that the claim

The Sudanese official position: the Khartoum State Ministry of Health recently published a report in which it denied the existence of any proof of chemical or radioactive pollution in the capital, confirming the security of the results of the tests on the ground.
Internal conflict: the Supreme Environment Council indicated that there are limited focus of pollution, while the Ministry of Health has denied this. It is a conflict that highlights the need for transparent and documented relationships with neutral parts.
International reference: so far, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has not published a public report to prove or refuse the use of prohibited materials or permanent environmental pollution in Khartoum.
What does this mean for the citizen?
The information available does not prove generalized pollution which makes the pipe uninterrupted. Even if there is a limited use of toxic substances in a military incident, this does not necessarily mean the spread of a permanent threat to the life of the population. The absence of independent and published technical reports makes it possible to deal with caution with rumors, without decorating or intimidating.
A message to repatriated
To the inhabitants of Khartoum, returning home after years of travel: the data available so far does not indicate a full danger which prevents return or stability. The return of the normal life of the capital depends on your efforts and your consistency, and the official authorities of their responsibility to submit transparent reports whenever new information is new.
A word for the media and newspapers
The spread of unconfirmed or contradictory information on “chemical pollution” which weakens the confidence of the citizen and destabilizes his psychological security at a time when he desperately needed to be reassured. The responsibility of the free media is to provide what is fixed in the evidence and to sincerely explain what has not yet been proven.
