Specific efforts to create a media climate in Sudan



The institutions that supervise the media in Sudan, led by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, the Martyr Othman Makkawi Center and the Intelligence Department, have reached a record in the creation of an appropriate environment for the work of various media. The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, through the Department of Foreign Media, has granted authorizations to (153) channels, radio stations and foreign press agencies to cover various events in the state of Khartoum during the month of September, in close coordination with the Martyr Othman Makkawi Center. And the military intelligence department, which supervised the implementation of this joint and qualitative work.

For their part, these media contributed to giving a realistic image of the progressive return to normal in the districts of Khartoum by broadcasting field reports and surveys from the main street and by highlighting the efforts of the Ministry of Health to reduce the propagation of diseases.

Media coverage also included press conferences held in September, in addition to covering the effects of torrents and floods, and highlighting the efforts of humanitarian organizations to provide support and help with affected people.
