Ella: Surrounded by lions like him, those who cry and moan – but the kindness remains – ✍️ Dr. Omar Kabo

**I entered the house of my beloved sister, Amna, crying bitterly. I said to him: “Why are you crying because he is dead? » In a second, my mind traveled far away to a lover who was on the front lines fighting in the army.

**She became clear while crying that he was the immortal leader in the name of Dr. Muhammad Taher, the governor of Port Sudan, her city, where she lived most of the stages of her life after her marriage, and where she lived as a contemporary of Ella, a governor who knew her worth, the magnitude of her abundant gifts and her value as a leader who transformed the entire Red Sea State into a state which breathed radiance, boasted beauty and pulsated with life, just like the island and its surroundings which were adorned with greenery pleasing to spectators during his reign.

**It is a sad day for all the people of Port Sudan who know his virtue, and for the whole East, who are proud of his strength, his boldness and his insightful wisdom, and for all the Sudanese people who see in him a good role model and a good role model to release energies, launch initiatives, overcome obstacles, achieve achievements and organize public affairs according to priorities.

**From time to time, I would always reiterate my statement in many articles published in this corner that he is one of the two greatest governors who have sat in the governor’s chair, alongside his friend Maulana Ahmed Harun, governor of South and then North Kordofan.

**The predominant distinguishing characteristic of his nature and personality, with which no one rivals or rivals, is that he is sincere and impartial about his convictions and the ideas he believes in.

**Of these, he remained faithful and loyal to his friends. We saw him always visiting, despite his many heavy concerns and busy schedule, the family of our late elder brother Mustafa Al-Hajj, checking on them after his death, inquiring about them.

** When I went to see him as part of a delegation of his friend and companion, Maulana Othman Al-Sharif, the current head of the Sudanese Bar Association, to inspect the Bar Association of the island of which he was governor, he singled me out with a special greeting, encircling my neck with a few words that indicated his loyalty to his friend Mustafa Al-Hajj.

**This was preceded, many years ago, by my visit to the Red Sea State as a member of the delegation of the courageous Governor, Karamallah Abbas Al-Sheikh, then Governor of Gedaref State, which included the beloved Muhandis Othman Al-Amin and the beloved Muhammad Al-Tayeb Abdullah.

**During this visit, which was on his special invitation, he thought it was important to convey the experience of Port Sudan to Gedaref only because he lived concerned about the people, aspirations and renaissance of the East as a whole.

** He took us around most of the localities in Port Sudan, explaining to us the practical solutions and treatments he had adopted to solve the problem of drinking water in the outlying districts and how to deal with the bread crisis.

**We have witnessed his achievements in all the towns of Port Sudan, and it is fair to bear witness to him that he has established a high-quality service infrastructure: hospitals and health centers equipped with the latest equipment, complete paving of all roads and bridges, and lighting of any street or place that lacks them.

**Under his rule, mosques, schools, markets, squares, sports arenas and the industrial zone underwent a qualitative change, becoming an environment conducive to creativity, individuality, work and hope.

** Until Port Sudan transforms into a tourist city comparable to all the dream cities in the world, welcoming foreign tourists and visitors in need from the different states of Sudan.

**The Red Sea Festival was a destination of relaxation, an oasis of youth, a theater of creativity and peace of mind after long and arduous labor.

**Ella had a clear imprint on every milestone he took and a lasting impact on every position he had the honor of holding.

**He is the most eminent among all the directors of the Ports Authority, the greatest of all those who have held the office of governor and the most brilliant among his fellow Sudanese ministers. He surpasses them by being the oldest among them, since he was honored with the post of minister during the transition period which followed the popular uprising against May.

** What is useful in man’s experience is his superior capacity to create success, given his exceptional energy and his great ability to communicate compassionately with the rest of the components of society, parties, sects and the opposition.

** I saw with my own eyes the formation of the Port Sudan Development Committee, which understood and united the population of Port Sudan, far from a harsh political classification, to the point that it placed at its head an engineer openly belonging and loyal to the National Umma Party.

** He firmly defended and fought fiercely for the rights of the East and its people. He was not afraid to fight the center and would not rest until he took away the rights of his three states. The best proof of this is his famous battles with the ministers of Finance and the Eastern Development Fund.

** Whoever remembered him the day before yesterday at the breakfast table in the house of the great Dr. Abdel Hafeez Al-Kinani, who was honored by the elegant director Hisham Al-Tahami, the distinguished Salah Kasha and the distinguished Dr. Moatasem Haroun, I offered them my special and sincere condolences for the man in my heart.

**Today I saw Hisham El-Tohamy crying, testifying to the righteousness, seriousness, commitment, good behavior and innate love for the East and its authentic human being, repeating the poem of his father, the great poet, our father El-Tohamy Abdullah Suleiman, the poem “Lan’ Al-Tohamy”, and the article of the late Dr. Muhammad Taher Ayla and his incredible love for our people in the East:

Dabbawa, I don’t talk about it

Tenderness excites me

At my house

Tajuj and Al-Hassan always…

** His close friend, Maulana Othman Al-Sharif, President of the Sudanese Bar Association, one of the people who knew him most intimately, for his virtue, his clear mind, his honesty and impartiality, rushed to mourn him with sincere, tearful and tearful words, from which some meanings came:

** Ella left an indelible mark on government administration because he believed that reform began on the ground and not in the offices. He was one of the rare leaders who combined firmness and vision with ambition and great realistic achievements.

**Due to the importance and greatness of what our learned Lord Othman Al-Sharif said, I will publish it, God willing, in my article tomorrow evening, God willing.

** I conclude with the same thing that Mawlana Othman Al-Sharif called for today:

((O God, Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Forgiving, the Merciful, may our brother Muhammad, the Pure, come to you in need of your mercy, forgiveness and pardon, and may you be freed from his torment, then accept him with you among the righteous and grant him the protection of our beloved Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and we reward us, his family and loved ones in our calamity. We belong to God and to Him we will return.

**Lingering sadness and great loss, and the like, let the mourners weep and weep… We belong to God and to Him we will return.
