White Nile Police: A solid plan to secure New Year celebrations and the 70th anniversary of independence

With security clear, the White Nile State Police have confirmed that they are fully prepared to secure the New Year and 70th Independence Day celebrations, through a plan described as precise and ambitious, aimed at maintaining security and reducing risks during the holiday period.
State Police Director General Hashim Ballah Suleiman, Rapporteur of the Security Committee, said that the plan involves the participation of all police units, as well as the Sudanese Armed Forces and the General Intelligence Service, and its implementation began since the Christmas holidays were secured and will continue until the end of the New Year holidays.
He explained that the plan is based on the intensification of night patrols and security forces to reduce chaos and combat negative phenomena, stressing that the police forces deployed in all localities in the state are in a state of maximum readiness.
He pointed out that this year’s celebrations come as the state recovers from the effects of war and embarks on the implementation of development projects, which require the highest levels of discipline and community cooperation.
The police director called on citizens to respect curfew hours and laws and regulations issued by local security committees, and to prevent the use of fireworks or gunshots, warning against swimming in the Nile to avoid drowning.
He called for increasing the sense of security and immediately reporting any security threats to the nearest police station or through patrols, stressing that security is a collective responsibility.
He highlighted the availability of the police to intervene urgently in the event of an emergency, with the necessary precautions complemented by the equipment of the reserve forces, ambulances, civil protection and hospitals, welcoming the role of the media in strengthening security and raising community awareness.
