Gedaref Governor Leads Preparation of Alert Camps, Praises Basanda’s Role in Border Protection

In a clear message that reflects the priority of security and border protection, Gedaref State Governor, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, ordered the State Popular Mobilization and Resistance Committee to prepare camps to accommodate mobilized personnel in a number of localities, with emphasis on the unified closed camp.

During his meeting today with a delegation of symbols and local leaders in Basinda, the governor appreciated the efforts of the people of Basanda to protect the homeland, commending their involvement in the ranks of the Sudanese armed forces in men and money, and their participation in the formation of a defense force along the border strip with Ethiopia.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Chairman of the People’s Authority in Support of Popular Resistance, Mr. Karam Allah Abbas Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance, Major General (M) Omar Muhammad Muhammad Mustafa, and the Vice President, Colonel (M) Abdel Samie Obaid Hassan, as well as Colonel Hamid Balil.

Gedaref Governor called on the delegation to redouble efforts to mobilize fighters to participate in the Battle of Karama, stressing that the current stage requires intensified alert and mobilization to support the armed forces and protect the eastern borders, in light of persistent threats and the continuation of the war.

For his part, the head of the State Popular Mobilization and Resistance Committee explained that the work was underway according to a solid plan that includes the mobilization of all localities, in coordination with the military leadership, highlighting the advanced stages in the preparation of the closed camp to accommodate the fighters, while providing all the necessary conditions for the success of the general mobilization operations.

In the same context, the head of the State People’s Authority in Support of Popular Resistance announced his full readiness to provide the necessary capabilities to prepare fighters in various localities and to work jointly with the armed forces to protect the Eastern Gate and confront all threats.

For their part, the leaders of Basandah affirmed their commitment to mobilize the greatest number of personnel mobilized to defend the homeland and protect its lands, reiterating their commitment to continue mobilization efforts and to provide men to the regular forces.
