Sufi orders and indigenous administrations announce support for Sudanese government’s peace initiative

In a stance that reflects the unity of national ranks, the gathering of Sufi orders and indigenous administrations announced their full support for the Sudanese government’s peace initiative, presented by Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris before the Security Council, emphasizing its support for the armed forces and the forces that support them.

This happened during a meeting attended by Sufi and community leaders from Sheikh Hamad al-Nil in Omdurman, in the presence of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Social Peace Sheikh Ishaq Mirghani Sheikh Hamad al-Nil and Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Sufism Professor Abdul-Jabbar al-Bilal, as well as the General Superintendent of Rifaa and the Spokesman of the Native Administration Nazir Youssef Abu Rouf.

Sheikh Ishaq Mirghani affirmed the support of the Sufi orders for the Sudan Peace Initiative, noting that it had been widely accepted at the regional, international and local levels, reiterating their support for the armed forces and highlighting the deep-rooted national role of the Sufi orders in spreading the values ​​of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

For his part, the General Superintendent of Rifa’a and spokesperson for the indigenous administration, Al-Nazir Youssef Abu Rouf, announced that the indigenous administrations welcomed the initiative, emphasizing their support for all official efforts aimed at promoting social peace and establishing stability in the country.

In the same context, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Sufism, Professor Abdul-Jabbar Al-Bilal, reaffirmed their support for the armed forces and supporting forces, appreciating the victories achieved and congratulating the Sudanese people and their leaders on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of independence, calling for unity of ranks and discourse at this pivotal stage.
