The Ministry of Energy launches the resumption of works from its headquarters in Khartoum – Zoll Net

Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Energy inaugurated the resumption of works from its main headquarters in Khartoum city, in the presence of the Minister of Energy, Al-Muatasem Advisor Engineer Ibrahim Ahmed, Engineer Al-Sadiq Jaber, member of the Undersecretary’s Management Committee, as well as a number of directors of general and specialized departments, heads of departments and a group of workers of the ministry.

The minister and the undersecretary toured the various departments, inspecting the progress of the works and checking the presence of workers. The minister called for concerted efforts and working with great enthusiasm to move the nation forward, expressing joy at meeting the workers at their ministry headquarters after the war and pledging to resolve the problems faced by the workers following their return.

The minister indicated that his decision to cancel the increase in electricity prices was born in consideration of the living conditions that citizens are experiencing due to the war, calling on workers to contribute to the reconstruction of the ministry until it returns to its normal state.

He revealed the ministry’s plan for the current year in the oil sector, which includes providing investment opportunities in safe states, qualifying the fields as promising, in addition to working towards restoring activity in the Heglig fields.

The minister explained that the electricity sector has made great efforts at the Khartoum level to rehabilitate stations and provide cables and transformers despite the challenges, promising that the electricity problem in various sectors will be resolved soon.

For his part, the General Secretary of the Sudanese Oil Company Workers’ Union, Dr. Abdel-Rafi Babiker, affirmed the union’s readiness to cooperate with the ministry’s administration to increase production and rebuild what was destroyed by the war, stressing that this step requires concerted efforts and self-sacrifice for the oil sector to return to the locomotive of the national economy, wishing the country progress and victory of the armed forces.
