Shindi Executive inspects campaign to regulate markets and eliminate violations – Zool Net

As part of efforts to improve the urban environment and strengthen order within markets, the Executive Director of Shendi Locality, Mr. Hajj Bulla Ahmed Sumi, today inspected the progress of the major campaign to regulate markets, eliminate violations and visual distortions and combat negative phenomena.
During the tour, the executive director was accompanied by members of the local security committee, the unit director of Shendi City, as well as the violation, technical affairs and health departments, where he observed on the ground the ongoing organizing operations inside the market.
Sumi explained that the visit aims to ensure the implementation of the campaign, emphasizing that its main thrusts include the opening of main and secondary roads to facilitate traffic, the elimination of encroachments represented by pallets, kiosks and random umbrellas, in addition to regulating the movement of vehicles and reducing overcrowding in the commercial area.
He stressed that these measures are part of the local plan to organize markets and present products in a civilized and healthy manner, worthy of Shendi City, and contribute to improving the business environment and the movement of citizens.
In the same context, the Executive Director issued strict directives prohibiting the exposure of vegetables to the ground in order to preserve public health, working to find alternative parking for vehicles and activating the role of the municipal unit to prevent incorrect parking inside the market, while taking dissuasive measures against those who violate sanitary and technical requirements.
Sumi called on traders to adhere to the system and not encroach on the right of way, commending the great efforts made by the Violations, Engineering Affairs and Municipal Unit departments to make the campaign a success.
For their part, a number of citizens expressed satisfaction with the measure, emphasizing their support for local efforts to open roads and organize work inside the Shendi market in a way that serves the public interest.
