The Nile Red Crescent completes its preparations to celebrate the International Day under the slogan “Keeping Humanity Alive” and pays tribute to its first generation of volunteers.
The Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Nile State branch, is organizing special events to celebrate the International Day of Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies, under the slogan “Keeping Humanity Alive”.
The events witness various development, health and social programs, embodying the great humanitarian role played by the association and its volunteers in serving the community.
Professor Imam Al-Din Muhammad Ahmed, Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Nile State Branch, explained during his speech to the River Nile Network that the celebration comes in exceptional circumstances which are faced Nile State, as it receives a large number of arrivals. coming from war zones.
Professor Imam underlined that the volunteers of the association took the initiative to open their hearts to welcome these arrivals with humanity, generosity and warmth, by providing them with psychological and moral support, in addition to shelter, food and comprehensive health services.
Regarding the celebration activities, Imam Al-Din explained that they will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, at eight thirty in the morning, with the volunteers of the association inaugurating the “Environmental Sanitation” campaign in the city of 'Atbara, in cooperation with the locality of Atbara and the health department.
The rest of the activities of the celebration include a rich program including environmental clean-up campaigns, free medical clinics and traveling cinema screenings.
A grand celebration will also be held on the city streets, followed by a special celebration at Hope Hall to honor the association's first generation of volunteers in the state.
The association's branch will continue its celebrations on Friday, traveling to the locality of Al-Mattama, to attend the inauguration of the solar energy project at Al-Mattama Hospital, which is a project of important development that helps provide clean energy to the hospital.
A graduation ceremony will also be organized for a number of first aid and home nursing trainees in Al-Salwaab area, Al-Mattama locality, in addition to many various events organized in various locations across the state.
Prof. Imam thanked and appreciated the Red Crescent Society volunteers in the state and Sudan for their tremendous efforts in providing humanitarian services to the community, stressing that they constitute an unquenchable flame of activity. He called for strengthening voluntary work and broadening its scope. include all segments of society.
