The Dignity Forum, organized by the Department of Culture, Media and Communication, yesterday dedicated its periodic session to Ms. Samia Othman Ahmed, Director of the Department of Health and Housing.

She reiterated that Shendi has not experienced any outbreaks over the past year, thanks to the efforts of the health departments and its White Army in primary health care, environmental sanitation and control. against disease vectors. She said health sustainability requires concerted efforts. of all local departments, community interaction, health culture, improvement of personal and household behavior in waste management, and enactment of deterrent laws and their implementation.

She added that cleaning of houses should be done at night and waste should be collected in designated bags to be transported by cleaning vehicles.

She called for supporting the administration by providing compactor vehicles and regular maintenance of waste transport vehicles.

Professor Samia highlighted the importance of media in health awareness and education and called for the formation of an intelligent partnership between health administration and media in all its specialties.

She noted that the administration has annual and monthly plans and programs and said her agency is now working with a war plan that keeps pace with developments brought about by war, including displacement.

Ms. Samia announced the arrival of a medical incinerator at Shendi University Hospital, with support from the World Health Organization and European funding, and it will come into operation soon after safety procedures.

The health director revealed that the Redeyfa hospitals in Kabushi and Hosh Yanga have been equipped, especially for the operationally wounded, and congratulated the armed forces for their brilliant victories over the mercenaries, and wished that peace would prevail in all areas. regions of the country.
