Livestock vaccination campaign launched in Ibri

The livestock vaccination campaign was launched today in the administrative unit of Ibri.

This was done with the participation of the Sudanese Red Crescent, with funding from the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Director General of the Department of Local Affairs and epidemic control specialist in the Northern State, Dr. Al-Baqir Jaafar, said in a statement to (The Official Spokesperson's Platform): We are in the final stages of the free vaccination program in the Northern State. The administrative unit of Ibri, in the locality of Halfa, is launching a campaign to vaccinate livestock and cows with the vaccine against septicemia, smallpox, plague and all diseases that occur.

He continues: “The campaign is accompanied by awareness and orientation programs for breeders and a response to breeders’ requests.”

Pointing out that the Ibri unit has huge agricultural projects and livestock of all kinds, stretching from Ochinmtu to Farka in the east and from Qubbat Salim to Arnta in the west, which has an area of ​​about 70 square kilometers .

Al-Baqir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Director of Ibri Administrative Unit, Mr. Walid Saleh Khalil, for his cooperation in making the campaign a success and his great interest in the residents of the administrative unit of Ibri.

For his part, the Deputy Director of the Ibri Administrative Unit, Mr. Abdel Fattah Mahjoub, called on the citizens of the Ibri Administrative Unit to make the most of this campaign by interacting with the campaign and vaccinating the cattle.

It is noteworthy that the delegation from the Ministry of Livestock met with the Director of the Ibri Unit, Mr. Walid Saleh Khalil, in his office to organize the campaign program.
