The National Agency for Emergency Care and Ambulance: organizes a training course “Training of trainers in the assessment and support of children in intensive care”
Today, the Red Sea State concluded a training of trainers workshop on the Assessment and Support for Children in Intensive Care course, which aims to build a federal team of trainers to train health personnel working in children's hospitals providing intensive care services.
The workshop was led by Dr. Yasser Jabra, pediatric critical care consultant, with ambassadorial participation from the Australian University of North Wales, where a number of critical care consultants participated in the provision of training materials.
Director of the National Emergency and Ambulance Agency, Dr. Mohieddin Hassan praised efforts to improve intensive care services for children in Sudan, promising to redouble efforts and focus on children's hospitals within the Federal Ministry of Health to improve intensive care services for children.
For his part, Director of Continuing Professional Development, Dr. Abdul Hakam Abu Al-Bishr Youssef highlighted the importance of the training workshop, which is based on international standards in training methods and materials to provide high-quality intensive care services.
In this context, the Director of the National Child Health Program, Dr. Qusay Muhammad Othman thanked the Federal Intensive Care Services Team and the Red Sea State Child Health Team for moderated the workshop, noting that improving intensive care services is one of the complementary strategies for integrated treatment for children under five years of age to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and reduce illness and death in children under five years old.
