The Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in Sennar: examines the indicative area for the 2024 agricultural campaign before the technical committee for the preparation of economic feasibility studies and the Director General of the Ministry of Production calls on the Bank of Sudan to reverse the policy financial for the current season
The technical committee for the preparation of economic and technical feasibility studies held its first meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Production in Sinja, chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources, Minister in charge of Sennar Province , engineer Al -Hadi Al-Sadiq Ali, chairman of the Committee. The meeting aimed to coordinate with producer sectors benefiting from financing, promote the concepts of financing portfolios and identify projects that require feasibility studies and follow-up financing procedures. for these projects, and monitor the implementation of the projects, in the presence of the director of the General Administration of Economic Planning and Information, the committee's rapporteur to the ministry, Eng. Atef Youssef, representative of the Central Bank. of Sudan, Sinnar State Branch, the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the Director of the Irrigation Sector, the Director of the State National Forestry Authority and the Director of the sector, Al-Matari , Dr. Faisal. Ouldah, and the director of the horticultural sector, Dr. Fatima Amer and representative of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, Sinnar State.
The meeting reviewed the indicative area of the summer agricultural season plan for the year 2024-2025 AD, represented by fuel, production inputs and financing. The indicative plan was approved to be part of the financing plans for the agricultural season, and the meeting. stressed the need to find funding for a fixed period in specific areas due to the lack of time.
The meeting highlighted the need to continue efforts to implement its plans with other institutions and find a mechanism to link funding to the rehabilitation of the sectors. The Director General said that the committee is relied upon to prepare technical studies because it is crucial and entrusted to it. with all the tasks to carry out his role and tasks without time constraints.
The Director General of the Ministry called on the Bank of Sudan to reverse its financial policy for the year 2024 and build financing portfolios, adding that Sennar State has enormous resources and projects that require more concerted efforts to advance the global economy. Stressing the need to agree on the funding ceiling, provided the amounts are available from different banks, he tasked the committee to prepare clear statistical reports for all work requirements.
