In the presence of the Director of the Merowe Administrative Unit, Muhammad Suleiman Muhammad Mahjoub, and with the participation of representatives of the Merowe Sons Union and a number of local institutions and residents keen to rehabilitate and develop the hospital.
The Director General of the hospital, Dr. Al-Sir Ibrahim Muhammad, explained that: Al-Nafra aims to involve all regions, citizens, institutions, organizations and the local population, within and outside, in the reconstruction and rehabilitation effort. restore the hospital to its original path of providing a simple and distinctive diagnostic and therapeutic service to citizens.
Emphasizing: “The hospital management plan includes several axes and priorities, the most important of which is the rehabilitation of the accident and emergency department, the reception and development of various medical specialties, in addition to the establishment of a unit intensive care unit with a capacity of (10) beds. , the activation of the health insurance service and the transformation of the hospital into a university hospital.
It should be noted that during the Al-Nafra meeting, the heads of the specialized technical subcommittees were appointed to support the Al-Nafra Supreme Committee, address the community and official, popular and concerned volunteers, draw attention to the necessary support to begin implementing the hospital rehabilitation and development project.
