Darfur governor confirms support for Electronic Press Association in Karama battle

The Governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, met today Saturday with the Electronic Press Association, headed by Al-Sir Al-Qassas, his deputy Abdul Qadir Bakash, Deputy Secretary General Muhyiddin Shajar and Secretary financier Ahmed. Qasm Al-Sayed, in the presence of a large number of members of the Executive Bureau and the rapporteur of the Advisory Council, Al-Safi Salem.

During the meeting, Minawi affirmed his strong support to the Electronic Press Association in all its plans and projects aimed at supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces and joint forces in the battle for dignity against terrorist militias.

Minawi called on the association to expose, reveal and document the violations committed by the rebel militias against the citizens of Al-Jazeera, Al-Fasher and the rest of the states.

Minawi stressed the importance of the media at this stage to refute lies and clarify the facts.

In the same context, the president of the Sudan Electronic Press Association, Al-Sir Al-Qassas, said that the meeting is part of a series of meetings organized by the Association with officials of the state.

Al-Qassas added that the electronic press is a project aimed at strengthening the effective presence of the press on the national scene alongside the armed forces and joint forces, for the defense of the homeland and the achievements of the Sudanese people.
