White Nile Minister of Infrastructure and Urban Development receives water well pumps for Umm Katirat station in Tandelti locality.
Engineer Al-Tayeb Mohamed Al-Hassan, Minister of Infrastructure and Urban Development in charge of White Nile State, today received at the Kosti Drinking Water Management Stores a number of four submersible water pumps for the main conveyor line in Umm Katirat. water plant in Tandelti locality, with a production of one hundred and twenty cubic meters per hour, funded by the State Government in accordance with the directives of the State Governor, Mr. Omar Al-Khalifa Abdullah, to resolve the local water problem in Tandelti
It was in the presence of Engineer Rahma Al-Imam Hammad, Director of the State Drinking Water Department, and Engineer Al-Fateh Othman Al-Khalifa, Director of Local Drinking Water from Kosti.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Urban Development in charge of the state said that the state drinking water administration currently has three lines of work in this major project, which is nearing completion . The first axis is the conveyor line and the work is 100 percent there. The second axis is the equipment and pump axis, which arrived today, and the last axis is the basin axis. Twenty percent of the ground concrete and reinforcement is being completed in the base building, and work is expected to be completed on the interior. the next few days after the arrival of the pumps for the basin from the city of Port Sudan after the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The Minister of Infrastructure confirmed that this project represents a radical solution to the problem of drinking water in the region, in addition to that, it constitutes support and support for the old station located at the Khor Abu Habal dam , praising the great role of the State Ministry of Finance in providing the necessary funding for these pumps and water sources for the soon-to-be-opened Umm Katirat station.
Engineer Rahma Imam Hammad, Director of the White Nile Drinking Water Department, expressed joy at the arrival of these pumps for Tandelti's local water supply and the third batch of water purification equipment. water provided by UNICEF to respond to the fall emergency at the White Nile. At the state level, he said that his administration, following the arrival of these pumps, is currently working on cleaning the wells of the station to begin the installation operations of these pumps, and within two weeks, experimental pumping of water into the station's transmission line will be carried out. He expressed his thanks to the State Government for providing these pumps, to the Minister of Infrastructure for his great support in carrying out this work, as well as to the Ministry of Finance and the locality of Tandelati for having financed the project and ensured its completion in the required manner.
