Qatar Red Crescent distributes sacrificial meat to shelters and needy families in Sudan

On the first day of Eid Al-Adha in the year 1445 A.H., the Qatar Red Crescent started implementing the sacrifice project in shelter centers for families affected by the war and needy families in the Red Sea, Kassala and New Halfa localities.

As part of the continued humanitarian efforts of the Qatar Red Crescent in Sudan, Qatar Red Crescent officials are distributing sacrifices to those who deserve it.

In this regard, Dr. Salah Al-Daak, Director of the Qatar Red Crescent Office in Sudan, said that the beneficiaries of the project are the needy families in the locality and the shelter. Stressing that the sheep were sourced from local Sudanese markets, he stressed that the project targets localities in the Red Sea State (in Port Sudan, Haya, Sinkat, Tokar and surrounding localities).

Al-Daak explained that the distribution process throughout the days of sacrifice is in accordance with what is required by the teachings of Islamic law, commending all the Sudanese people.

It is worth noting that the Qatar Red Crescent started its humanitarian activity in Sudan in 2003 and it funds and implements many humanitarian projects in various Sudanese states.
