Shendi: Course on the drying processes of vegetables, fruits, dairy products and sweets
Shindi Youth and Sports Department has agreed with Homestead Production Project to implement a number of homestead production courses in several areas of South and North Shendi and in the urban unit.
The director of the Youth and Sports Department of Shindi Muzammil locality, Sayed Ahmed Abdel Rahman, said that the aim of these courses for women and girls in neighborhoods and villages is to raise the culture of production and benefit from the skills and resources available, especially in agricultural and livestock production, and increase their material value through production and marketing.
Muzamil pointed out that many agricultural products have left many locations in the local market due to the war in several states, including Khartoum State, which is considered the largest place for marketing the products.
He stressed that these courses focus on the process of drying vegetables and fruits as they perish quickly. The course includes the manufacture of milk and dairy products as well as the manufacture of bakery and confectionery products.
For his part, the director of the family production project, Elias Abdel Rahman, said that holding such courses opens new horizons for families by increasing their income and constitutes the beginning of an opening to broader projects on the same subject or on other subjects of the course.
He confirmed the willingness of the Family Production Project to implement as many courses in this direction as possible in the locality of Shendi and the Nile State.
