Shendi: Zakat Office Continues Support for People with Special Needs
Secretary of Zakat Diwan of Shindi, Ayoub Ahmed Abdel Majid, announced the provision of financial and in-kind support to the Blind Union of Shindi, out of appreciation and concern for this important segment and as part of social responsibility.
Ayoub Abdel Majid said that the Zakat Office pays great attention to people with special needs depending on the nature of their situation, whether they are in the union of the blind, the physically disabled, the mentally disabled, the deaf and dumb or other people from the rest of the categories.
The Director of the Zakat Office stressed that taking care of these segments is imposed by religious and social responsibility, and that taking care of them and controlling their conditions is a duty of society before its social institutions.
Ayoub Abdel Majid praised the great patriotic spirit of people with special needs in their interaction with the nation's problems, especially in the circumstances the country is going through due to the war, and they continued to support the armed forces through their participation and creativity through enthusiastic poetry and patriotic songs.
The Secretary of Zakat Diwan praised the appreciated efforts made by the Executive Director of Shindi Locality, Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, towards people with special needs, by supporting, assisting and participating in their social programs and their celebration of religious and national holidays and on the International Days of Persons with Special Needs, designated in this regard by the UN and relevant international organizations.
The President of the Blind Union participated in the meeting held by the Secretary of the Zakat Office, Ayoub Abdel Majid, in the local hall of Shendi, during which he announced the importance of financial support for Eid al-Adha programs, which cost more than £45 billion. All categories included shelters, hospitals, prisons, Quran memorization cells, bases, defenses and people with special needs and others.
It is noteworthy that the Zakat Office remained present in all national actions and participated in all governmental and non-governmental activities of a social nature.
