Savings provides direct cash support to over 66,000 families despite war conditions

The Social Savings and Development Bank has completed the distribution of the second batch of direct cash social support programs to more than 66,000 families in all stable states, including Khartoum State and Karari locality.

The committee overseeing the distribution of direct cash assistance reviewed the report of the Gedaref bank branch for about six thousand families in the nine localities of the state.

Muhammad Al-Mahdi, Deputy Commissioner of the Social Security, Solidarity and Poverty Alleviation Commission at the Ministry of Social Protection, praised the bank's efforts to make the project a success thanks to the bank's great capabilities in the field of social development banks.

Mr. Ahmed Bahr, Director of the Bank's Payment Systems and Electronic Services Department, said that the bank is providing direct cash assistance to targeted families despite the war conditions the country is going through in a number of safe states, drawing on its long experience in this field, which indicates that the bank has provided direct cash assistance to more than 66,000 people, a family from poor families in stable states. It was reported that the committee held meetings in White Nile and Sennar states in recent days in the presence of the Director of Development and the Deputy of the Federal Security Commission.

Yesterday, the Direct Cash Support Committee held a meeting at the bank's branch buildings in Gedaref to discuss ways to provide support to all targeted families in all localities of the state.
